Hypogee
Dougga, Tunisia

Dougga, Tunisia

The Hypogee is a chapel built in the 3rd century CE, dug half way down in the ground. Its interior had niches in the walls for urns, as well as a sarcophagus in the middle. It rests on the top of the hill, right beneath the dolmens.
