The tomb of Amenophis 2 (1450-1424 BCE) is one of the deepest in the valley, but its principal fame is owed to the 9 royal mummies that were kept here together with Amenophis' own. It is kind of attractive with its rather arrogant use of matchstick men, the simplistic brutality creates a new type of aesthetic that is hard to unlike.
