Valley of the Kings: Ramses 6
The tomb of Ramses 6 (1156- 1148 BCE) is dug about 100 metres into the mountain. The tomb was begun by Ramses 5, but as he died before its completion, Ramses 6 saw a chance of making a big tomb into a great one.
The walls of this tomb are full of practically all religious books known to Egyptian at the time. Here are all the standards, like the Book of Day and Night and Book of Gates to more unusual texts from Book of Amduat, Book of Coming Forth by Day and Book of Re.
A common trait with these books is that they are not always represented in continuous paintings, sometimes the continuation is far further down down the corridors.
The number of images that "sells" the pharaoh to the gods are few in comparison. Some of the best exceptions are half the way into the corridor, where you can see wall paintings of Ramses 6 making offerings and libations to the god Osiris. On the columns he makes offerings to Khonsu, Amon-Re, Meretseger, Ptah-Sokar, Ptah and Re-Harakhty.
The pharaoh's sarcophagus as well as his mummy were early on destroyed by thieves out for treasures.
In the burial chamber there are more from the Book of Day and Night as well as wall paintings of the pharaoh making offerings.
