BASICS Comunications  Considering the population density, Mauritania has impressive GSM coverage. There is no coverage in deserted regions, but all larger settlements have mobile coverage. There are two operators, Mattel and Mauritel. Both websites are in French. Mattel has slightly larger coverage than Mauritel.There are Internet cafes in most towns, but there not many in the larger towns. Connections are poor, sometimes even unreliable, and prices high.Post services of Mauritania are slow but fairly reliable. |
