King of Ancient Egypt 595-589 BCE, 6 years, the 3rd ruler of the 26th Dynasty.
Psametik 2 is principally remembered for sending a great and important expedition into Cush under the leadership of the future king Ahmose 2. The expedition reached as far south as the 3rd cataract of the Nile, according to some sources it reached as far as the 5th cataract.
