Palaic language
Hittite: palaumnili

Extinct Indo-European language of northwest Anatolia. We know little about the speakers of Palaic, they are referred to as Pala, and the language was in use from before 2000 until the 15th century BCE.
Palaic is close to Hittite and Luwian.
Our main sources are from the Hittite archives at Hattusha, consisting of cuneiform tables. The Palaic texts are of 21 passages and deal with the cult of the deity Ziparwa.
Palaic had inflectional systems and pronoun forms. Quite little of the vocabulary has been identified.
