Gulf of Aden Arabic: khalīji ¢adan  
The gulf runs in a west-east direction, between Yemen and Somalia, meeting Djibouti at the western end. It is about 900 km long, and 500 km wide at the eastern end, between Ra's Asir of Somalia and the city of al-Mukalla of Yemen.The Gulf of Aden has important commercial shipping. |
