Side has a wide offer of hotels, both independently run in town centre, and complexes out of town which are mainly used by charter tourists. Prices are really surprisinly good, in average, Side hotels are most competitive. It seems to be fairly easy to find a room even during summer season.
Eating out is quite good, at least there is abundance of restaurants both across town as well as in hotels. Prices are OK, though not quite so surprisingly competitive as is the case with hotels. The good thing with Side's tourist restaurants is that many places make much of their business on returning customers. Overall, services are both good and friendly.
Going out in Side involves several options. There are usual bars, far from seedy, to night clubs geared up to compete with what is found in European resorts. Either options are fairly priced, far less than European clubs ask for.
Moving in and out of Side is best done with bus. There are direct connections to Ankara, Izmir and Istanbul. For closer destinations, the town of Manavgat, 4 km north, is the real transport hub.
