TIZI-N-TEST:
Both sides of the Atlas

Tizi-n-Test at 2100 metre above sea level, is the point where the numerous valleys of the Marrakech side of the High Atlas tip over into the Saharan side of the Atlas mountains. The mountain pass is definitely a place to stop. No matter which way you come, you will be this point have started to appreciate how much work there is in passing the mountains.
These two photos are both from the same date, January 28. The upper is from 1997, the one below from 2000. While spring already had started in 1997 at this time, winter was still present in 2000.
