The landscape

Tin Mal, Morocco

While there still are villages in the area, this was actually the place for a town in the 12th century, during the years when Ibn Toumert and his follower Abd el-Moumen held Marrakech under siege. Practically nothing remains of the city, except for the mosque that came after the decline of the town started.
