The great mosque in Sale was completed in 1333, first constructed by the Almohads. It is ranked high in its craftsmanship, being one of the finest buildings from its period of Moroccan history. It stands side by side with the Medersa Abu al-Hassan.
The mosque is closed for non-Muslims.
