FAQ How can I know my earnings and my traffic? We use external monitoring for this. In the first stage we only use Google for ads, and you will as a contributor be permitted to watch statistics for earnings directly from them. The exact traffic for your articles will be visible with StatCounter.
No! As long as you do not violate LookLex policy, you are free to involve yourself with whatever you wish. The only problem may be on the other side; will they allow you to contribute to LookLex?
Honestly, as of yet, we don't know! Before we know for sure, the policy is no reuse of any material that is not legally your property.
Yes, just as long as the result is not that the same article is published both places. Not that we mind, but LookLex wish not to violate international copyright.
No. As long as it doesn't violate the LookLex policy.
Yes. As long as you practice a decent linking policy for other websites as well.
Yes. All accepted authors will receive detailed instructions and templates for articles. This is confidential information, and not available for viewing by outsiders.
No, not necessarily. The aim of articles published with LookLex is to present the best possible content in the most readable manner. Should this mean in some cases that things look very similar to Wikipedia, or other sources, then that will be OK. Alterations to content and presentation should only happen when a better result is achieved.
Yes, of course. Just like they should use LookLex in their writing process, LookLex' authors can use them. Being an accepted author, you will be in a position to judge the credibility of these sources and other sources.
In principle yes. Your sex, country, religion, sexual orientation or political opinions are usually of no importance. What counts are your abilities to present a factually correct message in a readable and balanced way.
For contributors in countries with easy payment options, the minimum threshold for payments is $30. You can set your individual threshold higher, if you like.
As long as LookLex is paid in US$, authors and editors will also be paid in US$.
Costs with payments will be taken from the author or editors revenue, at self cost. The work performed at LookLex with payments will not be deducted from payments. Explanation: If you have eared $250, and there is a transaction fee to Paypal or another provider of 3.5%, the effective payment to you will be deducted of 3.5% of that $250, resulting in $241.25. In some cases, the cost with payments involved a flat fee. In these cases we recommend you to set a higher payment threshold. |
