SIWA:
Tourist Festival

The Tourist Festival is not what it sounds like; it is not for foreign tourists. It is simply the festival where Siwans are tourists in their own community for a couple of days.
The festival takes place in October or November every year. It is a time of activities for the children, with a little tivoli and vendors selling candy floss. There are gigs and happenigs for the grown-ups, many taking place even late at night.
