This temple was built for the Sed-festival and may have stood on a different location in the temple. It has been suggested that Pharaoh Horemheb moved it in order to give room for more pylons leading into the Temple of Amon. This is one more of the overlooked temples here, but if you overlook the immediate crudeness of the place (especially the square columns appear unsophisticated compared to other temples at Karnak), there are many fine reliefs with original colouring to explore.
