Ancient World /
Khaldi
Latin: Chaldaei

Ancient people of northern Anatolia, in the coastal regions to the Black Sea, thriving in the Bronze Age, still existing in the 2nd century CE.
The Khaldi are known to be among the first peoples to start using iron.
It is suggested that the Khaldi were a kindred people, ethnically and linguistically, to the Hattians. It is not known that the Khaldi formed strong states, and they were most likely incorporated into the kingdoms dominating Anatolia through history. Still they seem not have been included into the Hittite Empire.
